📌 Project Overview

Subhartian is a mobile app designed exclusively for Subharti University students. The goal was to create a digital student companion that centralizes campus needs — from grievances and leave applications to notices and event updates. The app was built in collaboration with the IT Department & CTO Sir, while I led the UI/UX design and prototyping.

🔎 Challenge

University students previously relied on scattered communication — notice boards, emails, and physical applications for grievances or leave. This caused information delays, inefficient processes, and low engagement with campus activities. We needed a single student-first platform that simplified daily interactions and kept students informed in real time.

💡 My Process

1. Research & Insights

I talked with students across hostels, classrooms, and labs to identify key needs: the ability to apply for leave digitally, raise grievances without hesitation, and stay updated on events, exams, and notices.

2. Design Decisions

Based on the research, I made several key design choices:

• Simple Navigation: Created a 3-core module structure – Grievance, Leave Apply, Notice & Events.
• Personalized Dashboard: Designed so students see the most relevant info upfront.
• Quick Actions: Focused on one-tap leave application and instant grievance submission.
• Clean, Youthful UI: Used bold colors & modern icons for a student-friendly feel.

3. Collaboration & Development

I prototyped the entire flow in Figma for clear design communication and collaborated with IT developers for fast execution, ensuring a smooth integration with existing university systems.

• Students adopted Subhartian as their primary campus app.
• Reduced paperwork & offline processes for grievances and leave.

✨ Why This Project Matters

Subhartian was my first end-to-end student-focused product, proving how user-centric design can transform campus life. It marked a shift from scattered offline processes to a digital-first culture, empowering thousands of students to feel connected, heard, and engaged.
