S-Touch is Subharti University’s official employee app, used by 5,000+ teaching and non-teaching staff for Leave Management, Grievances, Notices, and Events. I led the design evolution from Beta UI β†’ User-Centric UX β†’ AI-Personalized Experience.

Initial adoption was strong but employees struggled with navigation and personalization. The platform needed to evolve into a seamless, intuitive, and engaging experience that catered to a diverse user base with varying technical skills.

πŸ’‘ My Process

Phase 1: Beta (Foundation)

Designed the core UI for the grievance, leave, and notice modules. I collaborated closely with developers and the CTO to ensure technical feasibility while establishing a foundational visual language.

S-Touch Version 1 UI

Phase 2: S-Touch 2.0 (User-Centric Redesign)

After a year of use, I conducted feedback sessions and usability tests to identify pain points. I applied UX heuristics like visibility of system status, consistency, and error prevention to overhaul the user experience. This phase included creating a mobile-first design system in Figma to ensure consistency across all modules.

Phase 3: S-Touch 3.0 (AI Future)

I conceptualized the future of S-Touch by designing an AI-driven roadmap. This included personalized dashboards based on user roles, behavioral insights for administrators, and a smart chatbot with voice integration to handle common queries, further reducing administrative overhead.
